The 4-H Legacy Fund scholarship submission is a digital application & submission process.  Please email your application and supporting required documents to boulder4hlegacyfund@gmail.com by April 1 at 4:30.  Those chosen for interviews will be notified by committee members and a time for interview will be arranged within 3 weeks of the submission date.  You will find the application and the scholarship descriptions below. 4-H Legacy Fund Scholarship (formerly 4-H Foundation)

The Boulder County 4-H Legacy Fund distributes scholarships for 4-H members who are attending college or other post-secondary education. Applications are due April 1. Submit all documents in a single email to: boulder4hlegacyfund@gmail.com

4-H Legacy Fund Event Scholarships

Legacy Funding Request

This application is designed for members and leaders to request small amounts of money to attend events such as camps, junior leadership opportunities, conferences, CWF, beef fitting, shooting sports, leader development, or any other event or activity that would benefit youth or leaders in the 4-H program. DO NOT USE THIS FORM FOR POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS.


Post-Secondary/College Scholarships

Boulder County Fair Jr. Livestock Sale Committee Scholarship – due May 1

  1. Must have sold a project in the Boulder County Fair Jr. Livestock Sale for three (3) years.
  2. Must be a high school senior or a full-time student at a credible Jr./Community College or University.
  3. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
  4. Must complete the scholarship application with additional application requirements and submit supporting documents to jrlivestocksale.bcf@gmail.com  by May 1st.  
  5. Must provide the most recent high school or college transcript.
  6. An interview may be requested.
  7. One (1) $1,000 Jerry Hergenreder Memorial Scholarship will be awarded (essay required). Additional general scholarships will be awarded at committee discretion.
  8. Awarded scholarships will be mailed directly to the college/university that the applicant is planning to attend.
  9. Scholarship must be used within one year of receiving the award.

The Longmont Community Foundation

The Longmont Community Foundation has now opened the 2023 Scholarship Applications. From December 1, 2022 to February 28, 2023 you have a chance to apply to our 19 scholarships! Learn about each scholarship, what they represent, and if you qualify by visiting our website. We have several scholarships for various students. Our scholarships are for high school seniors, college aged applicants, and trade / vocational students. This year we are also offering a basketball camp scholarship for underclassmen. Longmont Community Foundation believes in diversity, inclusivity, and equity, which is why our scholarships have a larger range of opportunity for people.


State 4-H Scholarships

Additional 4-H scholarships are administered by Colorado State University through the Colorado 4-H Foundation.

Hello Fellow Fair enthusiasts! Do you have any graduating High School Seniors within your Fair?  The Colorado Association of Fairs and Shows offer Two $1000.00 Scholarships to graduating Seniors from Member Fairs.  Please take a moment to download share this application with any graduating seniors. 

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE APRIL 20th 2023

If you attend the annual CAFS Convention, you know that every year we have a Silent Auction as well as different activities all to raise funds for our Scholarship Program.  It is your participation in these events that allow us to present these scholarships every year.  Without the donations and support from our attendees this program would not be successful.

Please Remember that your Fair/Association MUST be a registered and active member of the Colorado Association of Fairs and Shows in order for us to accept your application.  If you have not registered for this year please click the link below to pay your 2023 Dues

The Boulder County Fair Jr. Livestock Sale Committee Scholarship

The Boulder County Fair Jr. Livestock Sale Committee is proud to offer scholarship opportunities to 4-H and FFA exhibitors who have participated in the Jr. Livestock Sale for a minimum of 3 years. Applicants may apply for a general scholarship award, or provide an additional essay to apply for the Jerry Hergenreder Memorial Scholarship. Colorado 4-H Foundation is a non-profit organization (501-c3). Under the umbrella of the Foundation is the Boulder County 4-H Legacy Fund, a committee that supports Boulder County 4-H by:

  • Providing funds to 4-H members and leaders to help defray costs of attending events/conferences/workshops.
  • Awarding post secondary school scholarships to 4-H members that have been active in Boulder County 4-H.
