Are you attending an annually occurring 4-H event and need some financial assistance? Use the request form link above and follow the directions to request funds from the Boulder County 4-H Youth Council.
4-H Legacy Fund Event Scholarships
This application is designed for members and leaders to request small amounts of money to attend events such as camps, junior leadership opportunities, conferences, CWF, beef fitting, shooting sports, leader development, or any other event or activity that would benefit youth or leaders in the 4-H program. DO NOT USE THIS FORM FOR POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS.
Boulder County 4-H Legacy Fund Scholarships
The Boulder County 4-H Legacy Fund is proud to support our 4-H members as they take the next step in their education. Scholarships are available for those planning to attend college or other post-secondary programs.
How to Apply
- Applications are due by April 1 at 4:30 p.m.
- Please send your completed application and all required documents together in one email to boulder4hlegacyfund@gmail.com.
What Happens Next
- After applications are reviewed, selected applicants will be invited to an interview.
- Interviews will be scheduled within three weeks of the submission deadline.
- Committee members will contact you directly with details if you are chosen for an interview.

Post-Secondary/College Scholarships
The Boulder County 4-H Foundation administers the following scholarships:
Boulder County 4-H Youth Council Scholarship ($1000)
Boulder County 4-H Youth Council provides funding from involvement in the 4-H Carnival for
this annual scholarship. This scholarship is open to all areas of 4-H. Scholarship will be awarded to one who has been a member of a Boulder County 4-H Club for at least 3 years. This scholarship can be awarded only once to a specific individual.
The Boulder County Homemakers Council Funds continue to support 4-H through this
scholarship that is open to all areas.
Boulder County Fair Board Scholarship ($2000)*
The Boulder County Fair Board provides funding for this scholarship. This scholarship is open
to 4-H members who have been enrolled in Boulder County 4-H for at least 3 years, registered in
General and/or Home Economics 4-H projects, and have exhibited at the Boulder County
Fair. This scholarship is available to graduating High School seniors only and can be awarded only once to a specific individual.
Boulder County Fair Board Livestock Scholarship ($2000)*
The Boulder County Fair Board is providing funding for this scholarship. This scholarship is open to 4-H members who have been enrolled in Boulder County 4-H for at least 3 years and registered in 4-H Livestock project(s) and have shown at the Boulder County Fair. This scholarship is available to graduating High School seniors only and can be awarded only once to a specific individual.
* If there are qualified candidates and both scholarships are awarded, they will be awarded to different individuals.
Horse Leaders’ Council Scholarship ($500)
(Can be awarded as 2 – $250 scholarships – to different individuals)
The Boulder County 4-H Horse Leaders Council provides funding for this scholarship. This
scholarship will be awarded to a 4-H member who has participated in the Horse Program for at least three consecutive years, including application year and who has been in the Boulder County
4-H program for at least three years. Participating in the county horse program includes participating on the county judging team, hippology or horse bowl teams. If there is no applicant in the Horse program, no scholarship will be awarded) For this scholarship, participation at the State and District level is not a weighted factor in awarding the scholarship. Funds can be used for a Trade School, a 2 year or a 4 year institution
MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Ashley Doolittle Memorial Scholarship ($1,000)
The Ashley Doolittle Foundation provides funding for this scholarship, awarded annually, in memory of Ashley Doolittle. This scholarship will be awarded to a 4-H member who has participated in the Boulder County Horse Program for at least 4 continuous years, including the application year. Participating in the county horse program includes participating in the county judging, hippology, or horse bowl teams. The winner of this award will show evidence of leadership and active involvement in 4-H, evidence of teamwork and helping other members in the 4-H program, both in-club and across clubs, and evidence of community service. Participation at the State and District level is not a weighted factor in awarding the scholarship. If no one meets the scholarship criteria, no scholarship will be awarded. Funds can be used for a Trade School, a 2-year institution, or a 4-year institution. This scholarship can be awarded only once to a specific individual.

General Memorial Scholarship (variable)
The 4-H Foundation administers several memorial scholarships, created to remember those leaders who served the Boulder County 4-H Program in the past. This scholarship is open to all program areas.
Boulder County Jr. Livestock Sale Committee Scholarship
Trade School, Post-Secondary/College Scholarships
NEW DEADLINE MARCH 1
The BC Jr. Livestock Sale Committee has expanded its scholarship opportunities! The Jr. Livestock Sale Committee is excited to offer multiple scholarships to support 4-H and FFA exhibitors who are continuing their education at a college, university, or trade school. These scholarships honor the commitment, effort, and leadership shown by youth who have participated in the BC Jr. Livestock Sale.
Available Applications
There are two application forms:
- Post-Secondary / College
- Trade School.
Who can apply?
- Graduating high school seniors and current full-time college students completing their first year of college.
- Students who have sold a project in the BCF Jr. Livestock Sale for at least 3 years
- Applications must meet the minimum GPA requirements and provide all requested information.
How to apply?
- Complete the scholarship application and include all required materials.
- Include all required materials, including your most recent high school or college transcript.
- Email your complete application to jrlivestocksale.bcf@gmail.com before the MARCH 1, 2026, deadline.
- You may be asked to participate in an interview as part of the selection process.
Scholarship Awards!
- One $1000 The Yellowstone Farms Trade School Scholarship
- One $1000 Jerry Hergenreder Memorial Scholarship will be awarded (essay required).
- Additional general scholarships will be awarded at the committee’s discretion.
- Scholarship funds are sent directly to the student’s college, university, or trade school.

The Longmont Community Foundation
The Longmont Community Foundation has now opened the 2023 Scholarship Applications. From December 1, to February 28 you have a chance to apply to our 19 scholarships! Learn about each scholarship, what they represent, and if you qualify by visiting our website. We have several scholarships for various students. Our scholarships are for high school seniors, college aged applicants, and trade / vocational students. This year we are also offering a basketball camp scholarship for underclassmen. Longmont Community Foundation believes in diversity, inclusivity, and equity, which is why our scholarships have a larger range of opportunity for people.

Colorado Association of Fairs & Shows
The Colorado Association of Fairs and Shows offer Two $1000.00 Scholarships to graduating Seniors from Member Fairs. APPLICATIONS ARE DUE APRIL 20th
Boulder – St. Vrain Valley Farm Bureau Scholarship
Boulder/St. Vrain Valley Farm Bureau will be awarding a college scholarship of $1000 for the 2025/2026 school year. Applications and details can be found on www.bsvvfb.org
