HUNTER SAFETY REQUIREMENT

Hunter Safety Requirement
In order to compete at county or State shoots you will also need to have proof that you completed the CO Hunter Safety Course (copy of Hunters Safety Card needs to be on file). You may practice without completing the CO Hunter Safety Course, but you must have completed the CO Hunter Safety Course to compete in shooting competitions. This portion is NOT provided by 4-H.

All Boulder County 4-H Shooting Sports members must have a Colorado Hunter Safety Education Card and bring the card to the county shoot-off. This rule is stated in the Boulder County Shooting Sports Addenda to Colorado 4-H Shooting Sports State Rule Book 2020-2021 item #7. The current Boulder County Shooting Sports Addendum can be found on the Shooting Sports page of the Boulder County 4-H website. Here is a link to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife page where Hunter Safety Classes can be found.
