Native Plant Master

In the Native Plant Master Program , you will: Discover native plants in their natural habitats through an outdoor class from the award-winning Native Plant Master program. Indoor classes are offered on a wide range of plant-related topics such as wildflowers, native plant landscaping and invasive weeds. Classes are offered in multiple counties across Colorado.

Basic Botany

Your introduction to (or refresher on) botanical terminology, the basics of dichotomous keying and the characteristics of Colorado’s most species-rich families. Participants will view slides and spend time in the field to familiarize themselves with morphological characteristics and key family traits. Hand lenses and a copy of Colorado Flora—Eastern Slope (Weber and Whitman) or Flora of Colorado (Ackerfield) are highly recommended.
