Fencing   arrow

Colorado is a “Fence out” state which means if you don’t want livestock on your property, you must build a fence. Responsible owners normally fence in their livestock in more populated areas. However, in rural or mountainous settings, the responsibility falls on the landowner who wants to keep livestock off of their property. As a landowner, building a fence that isn’t a hazard to wildlife should also be a priority. Learn more about fence building and laws below.
