Basic Botany
Your introduction to (or refresher on) botanical terminology, the basics of dichotomous keying and the characteristics of Colorado’s most species-rich families. Participants will view slides and spend time in the field to familiarize themselves with morphological characteristics and key family traits. Hand lenses and a copy of Colorado Flora—Eastern Slope (Weber and Whitman) or Flora of Colorado (Ackerfield) are highly recommended.
Due to concern for the COVID 19 outbreak and by direction from Boulder County and Colorado State University Extension, we are changing the format for the Basic Botany classes on 3/17 and 3/24. The classes will not be held in person but via a webinar. We are currently working on getting the webinar set-up and will be sending out information on how to connect once we have it set. The webinar will occur at the same time that the classes were scheduled. You will need access to a good internet connection to view the webinar. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please contact us if you have questions: Sharon 303-678-6176 or Deryn 303-678-6386.
