Community Garden

Panorama of Boulder Fairground's Community Garden

Welcome to the Boulder County Extension Community Garden! We strive to create an atmosphere of positive collaboration and growth for our gardeners by sharing ideas, newsletters and the knowledge of Extension information.

The garden was established more than 25 years ago and consists of several dozen plots that can be rented by community members who are in need of a place to grow. Plots are generally used for edible crops, but ornamental gardens are also encouraged. This is not an organic space, but we endorse the use of non-chemical means for weed and pest control.

Most plots are around 600 square feet and there are some half plots. In addition to a one time deposit of $50, the annual fee per plot is $85/45 and requires two hours of community service. Please be aware that there is typically a wait list for plots, but we often have openings. For more information on the community garden, or to be put on the wait list, please contact Amy Lippold at (303) 678-6238.
